Subject Numbers Regarding Health Provider Authorizations

Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(4), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board ("Chair") had exercised her authority to temporarily suspend Dr. Zhanna Tsukerman's authorization to treat injured workers in the New York State workers' compensation system effective April 23, 2019 (Subject Number 046-1162).

The temporary suspension was based on the Chair's designee's investigation, which revealed that, pursuant to BPMC Order #19-088, Dr. Tsukerman was restricted from practicing medicine in New York State until the Director of the New York State Department of Health Office of Professional Medical Conduct determined that all infection prevention and control hazards had been adequately and appropriately mitigated.

Pursuant to BPMC Order #20-076, Order #19-088 has been vacated; therefore, the Chair has rescinded the temporary suspension of Dr. Tsukerman and has reinstated her authority to treat injured workers, effective March 10, 2021. The Medical Director's Office will restore Dr. Tsukerman to the list of providers authorized to treat injured workers as of March 10, 2021.
