Subject Number 046-973 Temporary Suspension of Vasil Ignatovitch Moshkovitch’s Authorization to Treat Injured Workers Effective August 11, 2017

Subject Numbers Regarding Health Provider Authorizations

Authorization No. 169192-2W

August 11, 2017

Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(4), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board has exercised his authority to temporarily suspend Dr. Vasil Ignatovitch Moshkovitch’s authorization to treat injured workers within the New York State workers’ compensation system effective August 11, 2017. Dr. Moshkovitch's last known business address is:

1450 E 3rd Street
Brooklyn, New York 11230

The Chair’s designee’s investigation has revealed that the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct (BPMC) has issued Order #17-218, wherein Dr. Moshkovitch could not successfully defend against at least one of the acts of misconduct alleged, including that on or about December 23, 2016, the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners issued a Consent Order alleging that he engaged in indiscriminate prescribing, and that his continuing practice of medicine presents a clear and imminent danger to the public, and that based on this order, he must surrender his license to practice medicine in New York State.

Therefore, the Chair believes that Dr. Moshkovitch may be guilty of misconduct, and that such misconduct would detrimentally affect the quality of care provided to injured workers.

Dr. Moshkovitch is prohibited from rendering treatment and care to injured workers while his authorization is temporarily suspended. Reports submitted by Dr. Moshkovitch for services rendered prior to August 11, 2017, are valid, but are invalid for any services rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Moshkovitch for services rendered prior to August 11, 2017 should not be denied due to the suspension of his authorization.

This suspension remains in effect until further notice. Any questions regarding the authorized lists should be referred to the Medical Director’s Office at (800) 781-2362.
