Board Bulletins and Subject Numbers

The NYS Workers’ Compensation Board Claimant Information Packet (CIP) has been updated to improve the Board’s communication with claimants. The following changes have been made:

• Expanded information about what a claimant should do after a work-related injury.
• Added information about reimbursement for necessary travel expenses.
• Added contact information for NY OASAS, for those seeking information about opioid dependency.
• Simplified the instructions for the Employee Claim (Form C-3).

Employers or their designees that provide the CIP to claimants per NYCRR 300.37, or insurance carriers that provide the CIP, should promptly replace the version they are using with the updated version. The updated CIP is available on the Board’s website. See Claimant Information Packet.
