Please be advised that, by Original Vote and Order (No. 25082), effective May 26, 2010, the Board of Regents, on behalf of the New York State Department of Education, Office of the Professions, accepted and adopted the surrender of Michael Akyuz, D.P.M.'s license to practice podiatry. No current business address is available for Dr. Akyuz.

Effective May 26, 2010, Dr. Akyuz is precluded from rendering podiatric treatment and care to individuals who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Akyuz for podiatric treatment or examinations rendered prior to May 26, 2010, are valid, but are invalid for any treatment or examinations rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Akyuz regarding podiatric treatment he rendered or examinations he conducted prior to May 26, 2010, should not be denied due to the surrender of his license to practice podiatry.
