Subject Numbers Regarding Health Provider Authorizations
October 16, 2009
Authorization No. 130142-3W
Please be advised that, by Consent Order (BPMC No. 09-172), the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct, effective September 21, 2009, permanently limited the medical license of Reginald M. Sutton, M.D., to preclude him from all patient contact and any practice of medicine, clinical or otherwise. Previously, on October 26, 2005, Dr. Sutton's workers' compensation authorization was deemed inactive. No current business address is available for Dr. Sutton.
Effective October 26, 2005, Dr. Sutton was precluded from rendering medical treatment and care to individuals who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Sutton for treatment or examinations rendered prior to October 26, 2005, are valid, but are invalid for any treatment or examinations rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Sutton regarding treatment or examinations he rendered prior to October 26, 2005, should not be denied due to the inactive status of his authorization or the permanent limitation on his license.
Any questions regarding this matter should be referred to the Office of General Counsel at (518) 486-9564.
