Please be advised that, by Determination and Order (BPMC No. 08-151), effective February 24, 2009, the Review Board of the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct (BPMC), affirmed the Hearing Committee's August 12, 2008, penalty and determination finding Dr. Wieder guilty of negligence and incompetence, and re-imposed the penalty of three years suspension, stayed with probation for three years.

Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d [2][a] and [5], the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board has exercised his authority to remove Dr. Wieder from the list of authorized physicians, effective April 16, 2009. Dr. Wieder's last known address is 500A Grand Street, New York, NY 10002.

Dr. Wieder is prohibited from rendering medical or other treatment and care to individuals who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Wieder for treatment rendered prior to April 16, 2009, are valid, but are invalid for any treatment rendered or examinations performed on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Wieder regarding treatment he rendered prior to April 16, 2009, should not be denied due to his removal from the list of authorized physicians.
