Voluntary Resignation of Dr. Irina Yefimov's Authorization to Treat or Conduct Independent Medical Examinations of Workers' Compensation Claimants

Please be advised that, effective November 20, 2006, the State Board for Professional Medical Conduct issued a Consent Order (BPMC No. 06-259) wherein Irina Yefimov, M.D.'s license to practice medicine was limited, in part, to preclude her from evaluating, treating or billing patients in New York State whose services are reimbursed through workers' compensation.

Effective March 1, 2007, Dr. Yefimov voluntarily resigned her authorization (Number 157223-9B) to treat and conduct independent medical examinations of workers' compensation claimants. Her current address is 1 Richmond Road, Long Beach, New York 11561.

Dr. Yefimov is prohibited from rendering medical or other treatment and care to and conducting independent medical examinations of individuals who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Yefimov for treatment or examinations rendered prior to November 20, 2006 are valid, but are invalid for any treatment or examinations rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Yefimov regarding treatment or examinations she rendered prior to November 20, 2006 should not be denied due to the limitation of her license or this resignation. In addition, testimony and/or depositions concerning independent medical examinations conducted through November 19, 2006 may be provided.
