Subject Numbers Regarding Health Provider Authorizations
Authorization No. PA009494-6W
September 24, 2024
Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(4), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board has exercised her authority to temporarily suspend the authorization of Anjanie Sakhichand, PA (hereinafter, "the provider") to treat injured workers within the New York State workers' compensation system effective September 20, 2024. The provider 's last known business address is:
Citimed
78A North Boundary Road
Jamaica, New York 11430
The Chair's designee's investigation has revealed that the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct has issued Consent Order No. 24-107 (Order), wherein the provider agreed not to contest the allegations, in full satisfaction of the charges against them, and agreed to accept the penalty as set forth in the Order.
Therefore, the Chair believes that the provider may be guilty of misconduct as described in New York State Education Law § 6530(2), to wit, practicing the profession fraudulently or beyond its authorized scope, and that such misconduct would detrimentally affect the quality of care provided to injured workers.
The provider is prohibited from rendering treatment and care to injured workers, and from conducting reviews of records regarding variance requests pursuant to 12 New York Codes, Rules and Regulations § 324.3(b)(2)(ii)(a), while their authorization is temporarily suspended. Reports submitted by the provider for services rendered prior to September 20, 2024, are valid but are invalid for any services rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine the provider for services rendered prior to September 20, 2024, should not be denied due to the suspension of their authorization.
This suspension remains in effect until further notice. Any questions regarding the authorized lists should be referred to the Medical Director's Office at 1 (800) 781-2362.
