Subject Numbers Regarding Health Provider Authorizations

Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(4), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board ("Chair") had exercised her authority to temporarily suspend the authorization of Nurse Practitioner Kristin Kent Parmeter (hereinafter, "the provider") to treat injured workers in the New York State workers' compensation system effective August 14, 2020 (Subject Number 046-1332).

The temporary suspension was based on New York State Education Department Office of Professional Discipline Consent Order #31704, wherein the provider did not contest the specification of professional misconduct, including that between October 17, 2016, and November 8, 2016, she failed to adequately document patient condition assessments, resulting in a two-year stayed suspension, a two-year probationary period, and a $500 fine.

Upon completion of the probationary period, the Chair has rescinded the temporary suspension of the provider and has reinstated her authority to treat injured workers effective January 25, 2024. The Medical Director's Office will restore the provider to the list of providers authorized to treat injured workers by January 25, 2024.
