Subject Numbers Regarding Health Provider Authorizations

Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(4), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board ("Chair") had exercised her authority to temporarily suspend Dr. Sheler Sadati's authorization to treat injured workers in the New York State workers' compensation system effective August 14, 2023 (Subject Number 046-1633).

The temporary suspension was based on a Statement of Charges issued by the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct (allegations only, pending the outcome of an administrative hearing), wherein Dr. Sadati was charged with allegedly committing professional misconduct as defined in N.Y. Educ. Law §6530(8).

Upon receipt of proof that the charges against Dr. Sadati have been withdrawn, the Chair has rescinded the temporary suspension and has reinstated this provider's authority to treat injured workers effective November 6, 2023. The Medical Director's Office will restore Dr. Sadati to the list of providers authorized to treat injured workers by November 6, 2023.
