Subject Numbers Regarding Health Provider Authorizations

Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(4), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board ("Chair") had exercised her authority to temporarily suspend Dr. Duane Edward Dixon's authorization to treat injured workers in the New York State workers' compensation system (Subject Number 046-1542) effective August 23, 2022.

The temporary suspension was based on the Chair's designee's investigation, which revealed that Dr. Dixon refused to accept service of a Notice to Produce served upon him by the Chair's Designee, and failed to produce the requested documents.

Dr. Dixon subsequently responded to the Board's Notice to Produce and has agreed to abide by the terms of a settlement. Accordingly, the Chair has rescinded the temporary suspension of Dr. Dixon and, as such, has reinstated his authority to treat injured workers effective November 7, 2022. The Medical Director's Office has restored Dr. Dixon to the list of providers authorized to treat injured workers as of November 7, 2022.
