The Chair has adopted the amendment of Sections 324.1, 324.2, 324.3, 324.4, and 325-1.4 of 12 NYCRR, to implement an internet-based portal submission and review process for requesting prior approval for medical treatment and care.

The Notice of Proposed Rule Making was published in the October 21, 2020, edition of the State Register. A Notice of Adoption will be published in the March 3, 2021, edition of the State Register. The amendments are currently scheduled to become effective June 7, 2021.

The regulations in effect prior to the adoption of these amendments, still apply for prior authorization requests submitted on or before the effective date of the regulation.
