The Chair has adopted on an emergency basis and proposed the amendment to 12 NYCRR 355.9 to clarify that eligible employees may take Paid Family Leave to care for a family member diagnosed with COVID-19. A Notice of Emergency Adoption was published in the April 15, 2020, edition of the State Register, and a Notice of Emergency Adoption and Proposed Rulemaking will be published in the July 15, 2020, edition of the State Register. This emergency rulemaking will be effective until July 27, 2020. Comments on the proposal will be accepted for 60 days after publication. Please submit comments by emailing regulations@wcb.ny.gov.
